Saska Hayes
Senior Associate
Saska advises employers, environmental organisations and private clients on complex immigration, regulatory and dispute matters.
Saska began her career in general practice before establishing and running her own immigration law firm. She later spent time in South Africa assisting organisations with environmental impact assessments and the implementation of wildlife conservation projects. This built on her property law experience and brought a practical understanding of land use, compliance and regulatory environments to her work.
Over a nine-year period, Saska has developed a practice defined by strategic planning and innovative problem-solving. She has represented employers and private individuals across industries including aged care, hospitality and seasonal work, advising on immigration accreditation, compliance, visa pathways, employment agreements and workplace disputes.
Her broader background across property, tenancy, employment and relationship property matters enables her to represent employers, owners and private individuals in a comprehensive manner.
She has represented clients in negotiations and settlements, including proceedings before the Human Rights Review Tribunal, and is known for a client-focused approach, fostering positive relationships with third parties and the achievement of practical outcomes.
Saska is a published researcher and has lectured in Advanced Immigration Law at the University of Waikato.
